Strong thrust at every RPM
ASCALON's blade profile and ground-adjustable pitch are engineered to keep engine RPM — and thrust — high across the whole flight envelope, from static to cruise, instead of the large RPM drop typical of standard fixed-pitch propellers. E-Props calls this the ESR effect (Extended Speed Range): narrow-chord, purpose-designed profiles avoid blade stall, so the propeller keeps delivering strong thrust exactly where it matters most for takeoff performance — in the 40–80 km/h range during the ground roll. What actually gets an aircraft off the ground is thrust, not engine RPM, and it's a differentiator few fixed-pitch propellers on the market can claim.

Bird-Strike Tested
The ASCALON blades successfully passed the bird strike resistance tests conducted on E-Props’ “Chicken Cannon” without sustaining any damage—this result is part of the evidence required for the Type Certificate application with EASA (CS-P) and the FAA (14 CFR Part 35)

What's shipping today, engine by engine
The ASCALON program is rolling out progressively across the 100–270 hp direct-drive range.
Lycoming O-360 & O-320 — 74" and 76" diameters, 2- and 3-blade.
Continental O-200 & Lycoming O-235 — 72" and 74" diameters. Bench testing complete; flight testing under way.
As a rule of thumb: 2-blade propellers have a high ESR effect and suit faster-cruising aircraft; 3-blade propellers have a lower ESR effect and are recommended for STOL & glider-towing aircraft.
